History
Deep Sea World was founded in 1993 where it was independently owned before being bought over by Spanish Multinational Aspro Parks.
Deep Sea World is now a proud member of the Aspro Parks family with sister Aquariums Blue Planet Aquarium (Chester), Bristol Aquarium (Bristol), Tynemouth Aquarium (Tynemouth) and the Blue Reef Aquariums (Portsmouth, Newquay and Hastings). Although established in 1993 Deep Sea World still holds the record for the longest underwater moving walkway in Europe.
Since inception they have boasted an impressive collection of Sand Tiger Sharks and through the years have invested in new exhibits notably the outdoor Seal Harbour in 2005 and Aquasketch the UK’s largest interactive Virtual Aquarium Aquasketch in 2019.
Situated next to the UNESCO Forth Rail Bridge Deep Sea World is the perfect place to get unique views of this impressive structure while learning more about the wonders of the sea as over 100,000 tourists visit the Fife aquarium annually.
