Can You Dig It?
It’s time to journey back in time because you’re about to dig up the past and discover everything there is to know about the ancient giants that once roamed the Earth. This October you’re going to become a fossil hunter and solve mysteries from millions of years ago.
When you’ve explored what’s under the waves with hundreds of beautiful creatures in our aquarium exhibitions, you’ll have the chance to come closer to history and be a part of some diggin’ fun. Meet real-life palaeontologists, who have set up a dig site just for you!
That’s right, at Deep Sea World, you can really dig in – get it? We’re inviting you to hunt for fossils in our dig site, where there are real fossils and prehistoric to be found. Dig your way through sand and search for dinosaur fossils and prehistoric shark teeth. Oh, and if you’re lucky enough to find something special, you get to keep it – that’s right, you can take the fossil home with you.
If digging up history isn’t fun enough, then there will be lots of interactive activities for the whole family to get involved in. If your arms get tired from all that digging then you can always take a quick pit-stop at The Bridge Cafe to dine under the waves with views of the beautiful Heritage Site, the Forth Rail Bridge.
