Swimming with Sharks at Deep Sea World

We make it our mission to actively encourage visitors to dive in (literally) and take a closer look at our collection of majestic marine creatures. So if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be on the other side of an aquarium tank, this is your chance – because as therapeutic as fishwatching may be, some of us seek greater thrills.

First-Time Divers Welcome

We strive to replicate the most authentic shark-diving experience, so you’ll be swimming cageless under the watchful eye of our divers. While it can be a challenge getting over the initial mental barrier, there’s a first time for everything! That’s why our dive team will be on standby at all times to give inexperienced divers the necessary instructions and the much-needed confidence boost.
As if that wasn’t enough, we’d also love you to bring along two friends for moral support or simply to witness your bravery whilst you swim amongst sharks – because shared experiences are better experiences.

The ‘Bubblemaker’ Program

The ‘Bubblemaker’ program is designed for adventurers aged between 8 and 15 who are brave enough to dive deep into a shark-filled tank!
This is a cage dive to ensure the safety of young shark-divers, but it doesn’t compromise on the thrill factor. Your little ones can expect plenty of opportunities to come face-to-face with the Sand Tiger Sharks and possibly help our divers feed them too!
Remember, no scuba diving experience is needed to join our ‘Bubblemaker’ program. You don’t even need to know how to swim. Just don’t forget to pack your curiosity, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Shark Diving at Night

We didn’t forget about all you experienced divers! If you’re PADI-qualified and looking for a dive with a difference, you’ll be glad to hear that we regularly hold a special Shark Dive Night on selected Friday evenings.
This is the perfect opportunity for you to get up close to one of Europe’s largest collections of Sand Tiger Sharks – so, how do you fancy a nighttime swim with our ocean giants?

Join the Shark Awareness Course

What if swimming with sharks just isn’t enough to quench your thirst for shark knowledge? Then we’d like to invite all qualified divers with a keen interest in underwater wildlife to take part in our Shark Awareness Course – a PADI Specialty course dedicated to all things sharks.
This full-day course consists of topics from shark conservation to specialist skills that will prepare you for future shark dives in the wild. What’s more, completion of the course will also count towards your PADI Master SCUBA Diver Certification.

Collectively, our dive team has over 100 years of diving experience. Each member of the squad is fully qualified by PADI standards to make sure every visiting diver can freely and safely immerse themselves in the wonders of the deep.
